PARCEO’s work on Evaluation

PARCEO has begun working with community groups on evaluation and documentation. Many groups have been thinking a lot about where to begin with evaluating and documenting their work in a way that truly strengthens the foundation and momentum of their work and reflects their own notions of what “success” means. As a result of these discussions, PARCEO has been working on an evaluation and documentation guide and mini training to help groups think through an evaluation process that is rooted in a commitment to building community leadership and grows out of a participatory action research process. As a part of the guide, we will share ongoing questions and reflections about evaluation and documentation from various community groups whose work is rooted in PAR. The guide and mini training, which will be completed later this fall, are intended to support and strengthen the work of community groups that are interested in drawing upon a PAR framework as they evaluate their work.
