PARCEO is currently collaborating with PNCA for their intersession program, Global Studios: Mexico City/Oaxaca. PARCEO's Nina Mehta is coordinating visits and workshops for PNCA students with artists, curators, gallerists, writers, and designers in Mexico City, Oaxaca City, and surrounding communities. Facilitating within a PAR Framework

As we know, facilitation can open a space or shut it down. Whether at a meeting or discussion or in a classroom, how we facilitate is a critical part of, and integral to our organizing for justice. The more we think intentionally about our role as facilitators in different contexts, the more we can create the kinds of liberating spaces that help facilitate the meaningful organizing and spaces of reflection and analysis that we strive for. Connecting PAR to Community-based Work in the Middle East and North Africa

This past month PARCEO had the pleasure of hosting in New York the Maxwell School Leaders for Democracy Fellows from Syracuse University. The group consisted of 26 community leaders, activists, and professionals from 13 countries in the Middle East and North Africa. The two days together  began with a session facilitated by PARCEO establishing the framework of PAR and highlighting its application as a tool for creating sustained social change. Throughout the sessions, the fellows explored PAR and made connections to their work in a variety of sectors, including law, media, arts, medicine, and social work.
